AERIAL ARTS

ABOUT AERIAL ARTS

Our Aerial Arts program is one of our most popular, and for good reason: it combines artistry and acrobatics with flight, giving students the chance to quite literally soar. As they hang suspended in space and support their own body weight, students gain a unique opportunity for muscle development and spatial awareness. Learning skills on an aerial apparatus is both challenging and rewarding, and, of course, oh so fun!

This program is designed to teach students to string together a series of different skills to create a fluid performance piece. There's not much that can compare to the feeling of flight, and Aerial Arts does not disappoint!

We currently train on the following aerial apparatuses at Gymies: Lyra, Silks and Hammock.

The Gymies approach is unique in that we specifically help young students focus on, develop, and expand their skill set. Should they choose to pursue their skills later in life, they’ll find that they’re fully prepared!

Safety is our priority, and all of our equipment as well as our rigging is inspected annually by certified technicians.
